1 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sins.

1 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר: 2 בן אדם דבר אל בני עמך ואמרת אלהם כי אביא חרב על הארץ, וייקח עם הארץ אישמגבולו וישימו לצופה: 3 אם בראותו חרב באה על הארץ ותקע בשופר והזהיר את העם: 4 וכל אשר שמע את קולהשופר ולא הזהיר, אם החרב באה ולקחה אותו, דמו יהיה בראשו. 5 שמע את קול השופר ולא הזהיר, דמו יהיה עליו, והזהיר יושיע את נפשו. 12 לכן אתה בן אדם אמר לבני עמך, צדקת צדיק לא תציל אותו ביום פשעו; ורשעתו של רשעלא ייפול בו ביום שובו מרשעתו, ולא יוכל הצדיק לחיות בצדקתו ביום חטאתו.

Glory to God. Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever. A trumpet is blowing right now where the Lord God is calling His people to fast and pray. Now, I know many are accustomed to fasting in January to begin the New Year, but what if God changes our time to His time saying, don't wait until January-you need to fast now.

תהילה לאל. הלל את ה' כי חסדו לעולם. שופר תוקע עכשיו, שם קורא ה' אלוהים לעמו לצום ולהתפלל. עכשיו, אני יודעשרבים רגילים לצום בינואר כדי להתחיל את השנה החדשה, אבל מה אם אלוהים משנה את זמננו לזמנו ואומר, אלתחכו עד ינואר - אתם צריכים לצום עכשיו.

Beloveds, this is His time and it is now and I'm not sure why. All I know is I received a sure Word from the Lord saying to, Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound the alarm. So, I'm sounding the alarm now so His people can cry out to Him and be spared from the reproach of what is on the way.

Our text says, "Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sins.” Basically, the Lord is saying give up your life of sin, if you’re saying you are mine.

הכתוב שלנו אומר, "לכן אתה בן אדם אמר לבני עמך צדקת צדיק לא תציל אותו ביום פשעו; ורשע רשע לא ייפול בוביום שובו מרשעתו; ולא יוכל צדיק לחיות בצדקתו ביום חטאתו." בעיקרון, אלוהים אומר לוותר על חיי החטא שלך, אםאתה אומר שאתה שלי.

This Word says a sword is coming to the land again. It goes on to say warn My people, and "If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people, Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul."

דבר זה אומר שחרב שוב באה לארץ. הוא ממשיך ואומר הזהירו את עמי, ו"אם כשראה את החרב באה על הארץ ותקעבשופר והזהיר את העם, וכל אשר שמע את קול השופר ולא הזהיר; אם החרב תבוא ולקחה אותו, דמו יהיה בראשו. שמע את קול השופר ולא הזהיר; דמו יהיה עליו. והמזהיר יושיע את נפשו".

Beloveds, the Lord has a sensitivity for Jerusalem and Israel like none other. Are they perfect? Beloveds, far from it-but God knows it and they can't escape His hand either for He chastises those He loves. Know this, Jesus died on the cross in that land, so who dares to mess with it no matter what they do? However, in His mercy He sees the hearts of all people and He knows those who speak out because they have been hurt by God's nation; and He knows those who truly hate His nation in their hearts. Always remember, God is God and He is a righteous judge even regarding the evil deeds of His own people. God will judge them as well as all.

אהובים, לאדון יש רגישות לירושלים ולישראל שאין כמותה. האם הם מושלמים? אהובים, רחוק מכך - אבל אלוהים יודעזאת וגם הם לא יכולים להימלט מידו כי הוא מייסר את אלה שהוא אוהב. דעו זאת, ישוע מת על הצלב בארץ ההיא, אזמי מעז להתעסק איתה לא משנה מה הוא עושה? עם זאת, ברחמיו הוא רואה את ליבם של כל האנשים והוא מכיר אתאלה שמדברים כי נפגעו על ידי עמו של אלוהים; והוא מכיר את אלה שבאמת שונאים את עמו בליבם. זכרו תמיד, אלוהים הוא אלוהים והוא שופט צדיק אפילו בנוגע למעשים הרעים של עמו. אלוהים ישפוט אותם כמו גם את כולם.

Thus, cry out to God to spare His people. Spare all His people from reproach and the plans of the enemy. Let us cry out to God mightily to let Thy kingdom come and let Thy will be done on earth and in Heaven. Let us cry out to God to save the lost and bring them into the knowledge of the true and living God.

לכן, צעקו לאלוהים שיציל את עמו. הצילו את כל עמו מחרפה ומתוכניות האויב. הבה נצעק לאלוהים בעוז שיבואמלכותך ויעשה רצונך בארץ ובשמים. הבה נצעק לאלוהים שיושיע את האבודים ויביאם לידיעת האל האמיתי והחי.

Prayer:

Oh Lord God, You are a great God and a great King above all gods. In Your Hand are the deep places of the earth and the strength of the hills also. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For You are our God; and we are the people of Your pasture, and the sheep of Your hand. Today if we will hear Your voice, let us not harden our heart.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before You; strength and beauty are in Your sanctuary. Let us give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come into His courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him all the earth. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

תפילה: ה' אלוקים, אתה אל גדול ומלך גדול על כל האלהים. בידך מעמקים ארץ ועוז הגבעות. בואו נשתחוה ונשתחוה, נרעה לפני ה' יוצרנו. כי אתה אלהינו ואנחנו עם מרעייך וצאן ידך. היום אם נשמע בקולך, אל נקשיח את לבנו. כי כלאלהי הגויים אלילים הם, וה' עשה שמים. כבוד והוד לפניך, כוח והדר במקדשך. ניתן לה' משפחות עמים, ניתן לה' כבודועוצמה. תן לה' כבוד שמו, הביאו מנחה ובאו חצרותיו. השתחוו לה' בפאר קדש, יראו לפניו כל הארץ. בשם ישוענתפלל, אמן.

A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, He will plead with all flesh; He will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord.

רעש יגיע עד קצה הארץ כי ריב ליהוה עם הגויים יפגע בכל בשר יתן רשעים לחרב נאם יהוה

Isaiah 48:22

ישעיהו מח:כב

There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.

אין שלום, נאם ה', לרשעים.

Hebrews12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

עברים י"ב 14 רדפו אחר שלום עם כל האנשים, וקדושה, שבלעדיה לא יראה איש את האדון.

One of the most distressing books in the Bible is the book of Jeremiah, so when God continues to return to this book, one should think-is He warning us of something? You know beloved, we can think God is accepting many of the things we do, when in actuality our actions are not in line with what Jesus would endorse. And just because we think something is right-doesn’t indicate God thinks it is right. Unfortunately, this line of thinking is a danger zoom and a trap where the church is beginning to sink, and it is a major problem. In Jeremiah’s day the people spoke, “We looked for peace, but no good came. And for a time of health, and behold trouble.”

Why would no good come and a time of trouble? Doesn’t God tell us repeatedly-He is good? Well, if we follow the story in Jeremiah we can see one reason is when something is misaligned with what God wants. And if it happened with them-it can happen to us. Therefore, we must frequently examine and search our lives, because we could be doing something that we have always done-and God is becoming weary because it is against His Word. In Jeremiah’s God warned things wouldn’t better, but worse if a change didn’t come. And God also warned them of the unthinkable-He warned through the prophet without correction, war would occur. In Jesus name may we discover where we have failed to be aligned with God, fix it, and avoid the unthinkable.

His people were operating in wickedness. And in Jeremiah 8, God tells Jeremiah to tell the people, “Thus saith the Lord, Shall they fall, and not arise? Shall He turn away and not return? Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright. No man repented of his wickedness saying, What have I done? Every one turned to his course, as the horse rushes into battle. Yea, the stork in the heaven knows her appointed times and the turtle and the crane and swallow observe the time of their coming; but My people know not the judgment of the Lord.”

עמו פעל ברשע. ובירמיהו ח', אלוהים אומר לירמיהו לומר לעם: "כה אמר ה', היפלו ולא יקומו? הישוב ולא ישוב? ולמה נסוג עם ירושליםהזה משיבה נצחית? הם מחזיקים במרמה, הם מאנו לשוב. אני שמעתי ושמעתי, ולא דברו נכון. איש לא חזר על רעתו לאמר מה עשיתי? איש פנה למסעו כסוס רץ למלחמה. כן, החסידה בשמים יודעת מועדיה, והצב והעגור והסנונית שומרים עת בואם; ועמי לא ידע את משפטה'."

Ecclesiastes 3:8 says there is a time for peace, and a time for war. And wicked doings can trouble the time of peace. You see beloveds, 2 Chronicles 14:6 tells us of a time there was no war because God had given rest. Therefore, God determines when there will be war. In the days of Jeremiah, He had spoken peace-but then discussions of war began to arise. Why? God was seeing things that was against what He said to do. Thus, we must search ourselves to make sure we aren’t the reason His rest is moving. We know at times enemies will come into the gates of the righteous to destroy, but if God can give rest, He can certainly take it away. So, we have a responsibility to ensure we aren’t the one’s causing war. We must look at ourselves and ask: Lord, is this an enemy in our gate or a sin issue? Is it my actions causing the war in my home? The war in my children? The wars on my job? As a child of God, am I contributing to rest or war in my nation?

קהלת ג':8 אומר שיש עת לשלום ועת למלחמה. ומעשי רע עלולים להטריד את עת השלום. אתם מבינים אהובים, דברי הימים ב' י"ד:6מספר לנו על תקופה שבה לא הייתה מלחמה משום שאלוהים נתן מנוחה. לכן, אלוהים קובע מתי תהיה מלחמה. בימי ירמיהו, הוא דיבר שלום- אבל אז החלו להתעורר דיונים על מלחמה. למה? אלוהים ראה דברים שהיו בניגוד למה שאמר לעשות. לכן, עלינו לבחון את עצמנו כדילוודא שאנחנו לא הסיבה לכך שמנוחתו נעה. אנו יודעים שלפעמים אויבים יבואו בשערי צדיקים להשמיד, אבל אם אלוהים יכול לתת מנוחה, הוא בהחלט יכול לקחת אותה. לכן, יש לנו אחריות לוודא שאנחנו לא אלה שגורמים למלחמה. עלינו להסתכל על עצמנו ולשאול: אלוהים,האם זה אויב בשערנו או עניין של חטא? האם מעשיי גורמים למלחמה בביתי? המלחמה בילדיי? המלחמות בעבודה שלי? כילד אלוהים,האם אני תורם למנוחה או למלחמה בעמי?

In Jesus name, I pray rest remains our portion; however, let us all know as children of God we do have a role in our personal lives-our environments, homes, and even in our going in and out if we will live in the peace of the Lord or will we help cause war on every side.

בשם ישוע, אני מתפלל שהמנוחה תישאר חלקנו; עם זאת, הבה נדע כולנו, כילדי אלוהים, שיש לנו תפקיד בחיינו האישיים - בסביבתנו,בבתינו ואפילו ביציאותינו, האם נחיה בשלום ה' או שנסייע לגרום למלחמה מכל עבר.

Prayer:

Father, if we have become the wicked, forgive us. Father, we repent for our sins, transgressions and iniquities. Show us our wrong, and Holy Spirit reveal to us our errors and let us not pressed past what You bring to our attention. Lord, we desire for peace to rest and be still over our lives, so let Your Words pierce our hearts and spirits. Let us see our own wrong, and our doings as we read Your Word. Let us cry out to You and ask for help for the things of long continuance we have yet to put away. Show us ourselves in Your mirror, oh God, and let us not think we are blameless, when we are not. For You see even our secret sins. Father, deliver us from ourselves and makes us upright before Your eyes. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

He Will Release Resources to Build the Waste places

Isaiah 61:4-6

4. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6. But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

ישעיהו ס"א:4-6 4 ויבנו את החרבות הישנות, הקימו את החרבות הראשונות, וערים חרבות יקנו, חרבות דורות. 5 ועמדו זרים ורעו את צאניכם, ובני נכר יהיו לחרשיכם ולכורמכם. 6 ואתם תקראו כהני יהוה, משרתי אלהינו יקראו לכם, רכוש גויים תאכלו, ובכבודם תתפארו.

The eyes of the Lord are upon His Holy Mountain and His ears are open to your prayers.

Thus saith the Lord God, “No oppressor shall pass through them anymore for now I have seen with My eyes.” The oppressors may be saying what they are going to do and when, but remember-God is the God of the oppressor as well, and there is no oppressor or oppression like the Lord God can create.

עיני ה' אל הר קדשו ואוזניו לתפילותיכם. כה אמר ה' יהוה: "לא יעבור עוד צורר בהם כי עתה ראיתי בעיניי." הצוררים אולי אומרים מה הם הולכים לעשות ומתי, אך זכרו - אלוהים הוא גם אלוהי הצורר, ואין צורר או צורר כפי שיכול ה' יהוה לברוא.

The plan of the Lord that is written cannot be extinguished regardless the trouble that arises. Although arrows may fly by day and terrors lift up their head in the night-the Lord your God has feathers that will cover you and under His wings shall You trust! For His Truth and His Truth alone shall be Your shield and buckler. He is your present help in the time of trouble and although you may see things being wasted around you-the Lord your God says, “ You shall build the old waste and raise up the former desolations. You shall repair the waste cities and the desolations of many generations.” So, know-the Lord doesn’t deny a degree of waste and desolation will come, but He will release to you the grace and resources to rebuild and repair.

תכנית ה' הכתובה אינה יכולה להיכבות למרות הצרה שתתעורר. אף על פי שחצים יעופו ביום ואימה תרים את ראשם בלילה - ליהוה אלוהיך נוצות יכסו אותך ותחת כנפיו תבטח! כי אמתו ואמתו לבדה תהיה מגןך ומגן. הוא עזרך בעת צרה, ואף על פי שתראה דברים מתבזבזים סביבך - יאמר ה' אלוהיך: "תבנה את החרבה הישנה ותקים את החרבות הראשונות. תתקן את הערים החרבות ואת החרבות של דורות רבים." לכן, דעו - ה' אינו מכחיש מידה מסוימת של חרב וחורבן תבוא, אך הוא ישחרר לכם את החסד והמשאבים לבנות מחדש ולתקן.

Therefore, remember His Word from Psalm 139 which says:

Thou has beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?

If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Even there shall Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand shall hold me.

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

Yea, the darkness hides not from Thee; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to Thee.For Thou has possessed my reins: Thou has covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knows right well.

לכן, זכרו את דברו מתהילים קל"ט, האומר: הקפתני מאחור ולפניך, ותחתני ידך עלי. נפלאה ממני ידיעה כזו, גבוהה היא, לא אוכל להגיע אליה. אנה אלך מרוחך, ולאן אברח מפניך? אם אעלה השמים, שם אתה; אם גיהנום אעשה משכבי, הנה אתה שם. אם אקח כנפי שחר, ושכנתי בקצה ים, גם שם תנחיני ידך, וימינך תחזיקני. אם אמר, אם חושך יכסה אותי, גם הלילה יהיה אור סביבי. גם החושך לא יסתתר ממך, כי הלילה יאיר כיום, החושך והאור שוים לך. כי אתה כליותי, כסתני בבטן אמי. אודה לך, כי נפלא ונפלא נעשיתי, נפלאות מעשיך, ואת זאת נפשי יודעת היטב.

In Jesus name, may the Spirit of the Lord and presence of the Most High God be your portion.

בשם ישוע, מי ייתן ורוח ה' ונוכחות האל העליון יהיו חלקך.

Prayer,

O Lord You have searched us and You have known us. You know our downsitting and our uprising; You understand our thoughts afar off. We will praise You with our heart and worship You. We will praise Your Name for Your lovingkindness and for Your Truth all the days of our lives. For You Have magnified Your Word above all Your Name so in Your Word will we trust. And though we walk in the midst of trouble-You will revive us. You shall stretch forth Your Hand against the wrath of our enemies, and Your Right Hand shall save us. Oh Lord God, revive us this day and let the saving strength of Your Right Hand be our help now and forevermore. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

תפילה, ה' חקרנו וידענו. אתה יודע ישיבתנו וקומינו; אתה מבין מחשבותינו מרחוק. נהללך בלבבנו ונסגוד לך. נהלל שמך על חסדו ועל אמתךכל ימי חיינו. כי הגדלת דברך על כל שמך לכן בדברך נבטח. ואם נלך בתוך צרה תחיהנו. תושיט ידך על חרון אויבינו ויד ימינך תושיענו. ה'אלוהים, החייהנו היום ותהיה כוח ישועת ימינך לעזרתנו מעתה ועד עולם. בשם ישוע אנו מתפללים, אמן.

Isaiah 40:22-31

22 It is He that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

23 That brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth as vanity.

24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and He shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25 To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

27 Why says thou, O Jacob, and speaks, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 41:1-6

1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? He gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.

3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.

4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am He.

5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

6 They helped everyone his neighbor; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

ישעיהו מא:1-6 1 החרישו לפני איים, וחדשו עמים כוחם, יגשו, ודברו, נגבה יחדו למשפט. 2 מי הקים צדיק ממזרח, קרא לו על רגליו, נתן גוייםלפניו, ומושלו במלכים? נתן אותם כעפר לחרבו, וכקש נדחק לקשתו. 3 רדוף אותם, ועבר לבטח, גם בדרך אשר לא הלך ברגליו. 4 מי עשה ועשה, קורא לדורות מראש? אני ה' ראשון ועם אחרונים, אני הוא. 5 איים ראו, וירא, קצווי ארץ נבהלו, יגשו, ובאו. 6 עזרו איש את רעהו, ואיש לאחיואמרו, חזק.

Glory to God. Today the Lord God reminds of His posture and His control in the earth. When things are happening all around us, we can forget God has a hand in what is going on. For there is nothing happening that hasn’t gone by God first. Isaiah 40 tells us it is He (the Lord God) who sits on the circle of the earth. The earth is not just evolving and revolving on its own. No! God is very much a part of the actions going forth rather they are good or bad. Whatever prince is reduced to nothing-the Word says, “It is He who brings the princes to nothing and the judges of the earth, He has made them as vanity.” Thus, He asks almost in bewilderment looking at our actions and responses- “To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.”

תהילה לאל. היום, אלוהים אדירים מזכיר את עמדתו ושליטתו על פני האדמה. כאשר דברים קורים סביבנו, אנו יכולים לשכוח שלאלוהים יש יד במהשקורה. כי אין דבר שקורה שלא קרה קודם לכן על ידי אלוהים. ישעיהו מ' אומר לנו שהוא (אלוהים אדירים) הוא זה שיושב על מעגל הארץ. הארץלא רק מתפתחת וסובבת מעצמה. לא! אלוהים הוא חלק בלתי נפרד מהפעולות המתרחשות, אלא שהן טובות או רעות. כל נסיך שמצמצם לכלום - הדבר אומר, "הוא אשר יהרוס נסיכים לכלום ושופטי ארץ, הוא עשהם כהבל". לפיכך, הוא שואל כמעט בתדהמה כשהוא מביט במעשינו ובתגובותינו- "למי תדמו אותי, או אהיה שווה? אמר הקדוש ברוך הוא".

Men may think they can be an equal to God in power and strength, but that is foolish to think so. For the princes who one day are high and lifted up, God already knows where their life is going for they fail to understand-God has blowing power as well. Man has the power to blow things over, but God also has a greater power to blow things over. Therefore, He tells us where our focus should be and He advises us to lift up our eyes to the One on High. Let us lift up our eyes to the One who created these things and is commanding the Host to come out by the number. Let us lift up our eyes to the One who has the greatest blowing power of all for He is greatness in all His might and strong in power.

אנשים אולי חושבים שהם יכולים להיות שווים לאלוהים בכוח ובעוצמה, אבל זה טיפשי לחשוב כך. עבור הנסיכים שיום אחד יהיו גבוהים ומרוממים, אלוהים כבר יודע לאן חייהם הולכים כי הם לא מצליחים להבין - לאלוהים יש גם כוח נשיפה. לאדם יש את הכוח להעיף דברים, אבל לאלוהים יש גםכוח גדול יותר להעיף דברים. לכן, הוא אומר לנו היכן עלינו להיות במוקד והוא מייעץ לנו לשאת את עינינו אל מי שבמרומים. הבה נשא את עינינואל מי שברא את הדברים האלה ומצווה על הצבא לצאת במספר. הבה נשא את עינינו אל מי שיש לו את כוח הנשיפה הגדול מכולם כי הוא גדולתובכל כוחו וחזק בעוצמתו.

The Lord God strongly reminds us that He can give power to the faint and those who have no might-He can increase their strength. But even if He gives power to another, His eyes are looking for those who will wait on Him. For if our priorities, trust, and our prayers are sincere to asking God for help-He promises, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

אלוהים אדירים מזכיר לנו בחוזקה שהוא יכול לתת כוח לעייפים ולאלה שאין להם כוח - הוא יכול להגביר את כוחם. אבל גם אם הוא נותן כוח לאחר, עיניו מחפשות את אלה שיחכו לו. כי אם סדרי העדיפויות שלנו, האמון שלנו ותפילותינו כנות לבקשת עזרה מאלוהים - הוא מבטיח, "המי שיקוי לה' יחלפו כוחם; יעלו כנשרים כנפיים; ירוצו ולא יגעו; והלכו ולא יתעייפו."

לַאִי הַמַּדְעָגָה, שְׁמוּ דְבַר יְהוָה: שְׁתוּ לְפָנִי אִיִּים, וְיַחֲדוּ עַמִּים כֹּחַ, גָּרְבוּ וְדַבְּרוּ נְגָבָה יַחַד לַמִּשְׁפָּט. מִי הַקִּים צַדִּיק מֵאֶרֶם, קָרָאֵהוּ עַל רַגְלָיו, נִתָּן גּוֹיִם לְפָנָיו, וְמִשְׁלֹחוֹ עַל מַלכים? נָתַנָּם כַּעָפָר לַחֶרְבוֹ, וְכַּקֶּשׁ נְעוּרָף לַקְשְׁתּוֹ. רָדְפֵהֶם, וְעָבַר בְּטַחַת, אֲשֶׁר לֹא הָלַךְ בַּרְגְלָיו. מִי עָשָׂה וְעָשָׂה, קָרָא דּוֹרוֹת מֵרֵאשִׁין? אֲנִייְהוָה רִאשׁון וְעַם אַחֲרֹנִים, אֲנִי הוּא. אִיִּים רָאוּ וְיַחֲרָאוּ, קְרָבוּ וְבָאו. אִישׁ לַרְעֵהוּ עָזְרוּ, וְאִישׁ לַאחִיו, הָיָה עָזֵר׃

The Word says, “He pursued them, and passed safely.” Let our prayer be: “Oh Lord God, please pursue whatever needs to be pursued, so we can pass safely.” You see beloveds, God also has pursuing power and He knows how to make things and people see and fear! He knows how to make even the ends of the earth afraid! And after He made them afraid, He says they drew near and came. But what is His will? It is that everyone help his neighbor, and everyone say to His brother-be of good courage. Not just for today, but for all circumstances of life. For it is His will that we help our neighbors. This is because there will come a day when we too may need help against something or someone that is stronger than us. In Jesus name may we reap His good for what we have sown.

הדבר אומר, "הוא רדף אותם, ועבר בשלום." תפילתנו תהיה: "הו אלוהים, אנא רדף אחרי כל מה שצריך לרדוף, כדי שנוכל לעבור בשלום." אהובים, גם לאלוהים יש כוח רדיפה והוא יודע איך לגרום לדברים ולאנשים לראות ולפחד! הוא יודע איך לפחד אפילו את קצווי תבל! ואחרי שהואפחד אותם, הוא אומר שהם התקרבו ובאו. אבל מה רצונו? זה שכל אחד יעזור לחברו, וכל אחד יאמר לאחיו - היה חזק. לא רק להיום, אלא לכלנסיבות החיים. כי רצונו הוא שנעזור לשכנינו. הסיבה לכך היא שיבוא יום שבו גם אנחנו נזדקק לעזרה נגד משהו או מישהו חזק מאיתנו. בשם ישוע, מי ייתן נקצור את טובתו על מה שזרענו.

Prayer:

Father, we lift up our eyes on high to the You, oh God, who has created all things. Father, where ever we need to pass safely in life-pursue what is blocking the path for our eyes are on You. Father, You sit upon the circle of the earth, therefore you see and know all things. Help us Lord, and help the earth. Bring down those that are too strong for us and fight our battles this day. We have not a weapon that compares to You, thus our eyes are on You. And whatever danger, battle, or enemy has risen to block our path-release Your power and strength to make it no more. Father, save souls and lives, and bring men to Your salvation power. Those that are given over to death-if there is hope for salvation, spare their lives for Your Name’s sake. Spare the soldiers and let them have a life to live with their families and children.

For You are the everlasting God who is on the earth and in eternity. If you don’t help us in battle-we will be destroyed and defeated. So, we cry out today-In Jesus Name, Spare Your people, oh God and spare the innocent. Let us not be brought down to reproach or die without cause. Look down from Heaven and remember You are God and our King. Remember, we are those who trust in You for we have no power to save ourselves. Mercy Lord. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Let Us Not Fall Into The Hand of Man אל ניפול בידי אדם

2 Samuel 24:14-16

14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for His mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

15 So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.

16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented Him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.

שמואל ב' כ"ד:14-16 14 ויאמר דוד אל-גד צר אנכי מאוד נפלה נא ביד יהוה כי רבים חסדו ואל-אפלה ביד אדם. 15 וישלח יהוה מגפה בישראל מן-הבוקר ועד-המועד וימתו מן-העם מדן ועד-באר שבע שבעים אלף איש. 16 ויט המלאך את-ידו על ירושלם להחריבה ונחם יהוה על-הרעה ויאמר אל-המלאך המשחית את-העם די עתה עצור-עתה ידך.

Glory to God. There are times the hand of the Lord comes against lands and nations because of wrong decisions, and such was a time in 2 Samuel 24. King David made a wrong decision and God didn't just let it go. This was because His decision was based on dependence of their strength to fight a battle and not the strength of the Lord.

תהילה לאל. ישנם זמנים בהם יד ה' נופלת נגד ארצות ועמים בגלל החלטות שגויות, וכך היה גם בתקופה בשמואל ב' כ"ד. דוד המלך קיבל החלטה שגויה ואלוהים לא פשוט נתן לה ללכת. הסיבה לכך הייתה שהחלטתו התבססה על תלות בכוחם כדי להילחם בקרב ולא על כוחו של ה'.

How often are we looking at our own strength and solutions, and we fail to look to the Lord? How often are we depending on something we can do above relying on God to take care of all things for us and to be led by the Holy Spirit? Well, David made this great error in his life by counting the people to go to battle and God wasn't pleased with his decision at all. And even though David repented for His decision, God didn't erase the consequences He sent because He wanted to make sure the lesson was learned that when it came to defending His people-He never wanted them to depend on their own strength and methods. It is His desire we go to battle knowing we don’t win because of what we do, but we win because of what God does for us! We win our battles because of the supernatural intervention of God who fights against man for us.

באיזו תדירות אנו מסתכלים על כוחנו ופתרונותינו שלנו, ואיננו מצליחים להביט אל אלוהים? באיזו תדירות אנו סומכים על משהו שאנו יכולים לעשות מעבר להסתמכות על אלוהים שידאג לכל הדברים עבורנו ויהיה מונחית על ידי רוח הקודש? ובכן, דוד עשה טעות גדולה בחייו בכך שספר את האנשים שייצאו לקרב ואלוהים לא היה מרוצה מהחלטתו כלל. ולמרות שדוד התחרט על החלטתו, אלוהים לא מחק את ההשלכות ששלח כי הוא רצה לוודא שהלקח נלמד - שכאשר מדובר בהגנה על עמו - הוא מעולם לא רצה שהם יסתמכו על כוחם ושיטותיהם שלהם. רצונו הוא שנצא לקרב בידיעה שאנחנו לא מנצחים בגלל מה שאנחנו עושים, אלא שאנחנו מנצחים בגלל מה שאלוהים עושה עבורנו! אנו מנצחים בקרבות שלנו בגלל ההתערבות העל-טבעית של אלוהים שנלחם נגד האדם עבורנו.

So, David realized what God wanted to go forth would go forth. There was a consequence to what he had done just like we are living in a consequence of a decision that was made right now. And David's prayer in essence was, "I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for His mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man."

אז, דוד הבין שמה שאלוהים רצה שייצא, ייצא. הייתה תוצאה למה שהוא עשה, בדיוק כפי שאנו חיים בתוצאה של החלטה שהתקבלה עכשיו. ותפילתו של דוד הייתה במהותה: "צר אנכי, נפל נא ביד ה', כי רבים חסדו, ואל אפול ביד אדם."

Now, I don't believe it is a coincidence the Holy Spirit chose a text with the Word "strait" in it and the immediate conflict going on now in the world is regarding a great strait.

עכשיו, אני לא מאמין שזה צירוף מקרים שרוח הקודש בחרה פסוק עם המילה "מיצר" בו והסכסוך המיידי שמתחולל כעת בעולם הוא בנוגע למיצר גדול.

And the conflict has escalated to a level where thousands of people could be killed within the next month. People who didn't have anything to do with any of this, yet the decisions by the leaders will cause their lives to be cut off. In Jesus name, we pray your life will not be cut off, nor the life of your children, or family members as part of the thousands who will lose their lives.

הסכסוך הסלים לרמה שבה אלפי אנשים עלולים להיהרג בתוך החודש הקרוב. אנשים שלא היה להם שום קשר לכל זה, אך החלטות המנהיגים יגרמו לכך שחייהם ייכרתו. בשם ישוע, אנו מתפללים שחייך לא ייכרתו, וגם לא חיי ילדיך או בני משפחתך כחלק מהאלפים שאיבדו את חייהם.

Therefore, let us lift up prayers this morning regarding this great strait that God has brought to our attention through the words of David. Only God can be this precise, and if He is bringing it up on this day-great trouble is on the way without His intervention. Pray for His merciful intervention.

Lord, let us not fall into the destructions that man can do to our nation and livelihoods. Lord, be merciful to Israel and Jerusalem, and let them fall into the hand of the Lord, and not the hand of man. Father, we pray for all the nations of the world-whatever destructions this great strait can cause-to the food supply, to daily lives-we cry to You Father-Lord, be merciful and let us all fall into Your hands, and not into the hands of men. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

2 Chronicles 17:3-10

3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

4 But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

5 Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

8 And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.

9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

10 And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

Glory to God. Sometimes problems in the land can go on and on, and our eyes hearts will tell us that they will be endless and we have no hope for peace. But there is an obtainable place with God where there is no war, and King Jehoshaphat, the leader of Judah, learned to live a life before God where God blocked wars during his reign. King Jehoshaphat was a king of Judah who was actually a descendant of King David for the Word calls David his father. Now, Jehoshaphat was highly favored and the Lord blessed him with riches and honor. And God was with Jehoshaphat, and in his days there was none who made war with him. Therefore, right here in our text we learn God can give a life where there is none who makes war with us! And we learn from the life of Jehoshaphat, it all starts with the type of heart we have toward the Lord.

תהילה לאל. לפעמים בעיות בארץ יכולות להימשך עוד ועוד, ועינינו וליבנו יגידו לנו שהן יהיו אינסופיות ואין לנו תקווה לשלום. אבל יש מקום בר השגה עם אלוהים שבו אין מלחמה, והמלך יהושפט, מנהיג יהודה, למד לחיות חיים לפני אלוהים שבהם אלוהים חסם מלחמות במהלך שלטונו. המלך יהושפט היה מלך יהודה שהיה למעשה צאצא של המלך דוד, כי הדבר מכנה את דוד אביו. עכשיו, יהושפט היה בעל חן רב וה' בירך אותו בעושר ובכבוד. ואלוהים היה עם יהושפט, ובימיו לא היה איש שעושה עמו מלחמה. לכן, ממש כאן בטקסט שלנו אנו לומדים שאלוהים יכול לתת חיים שבהם אין איש שעושה עמנו מלחמה! ואנו לומדים מחייו של יהושפט, הכל מתחיל בסוג הלב שיש לנו כלפי ה'.

It is important to know the hearts of our leaders are extremely important. For one main characteristic of King Jehoshaphat was the type of heart he had. Therefore, if we aren’t praying for the hearts of our leaders-we should pray for them so we can live a peaceable life and not a life of wars. For if they don’t have a heart that is lifted up in the ways of the LORD -their heart could be lifted up to pride, riches, and even beauty and all these things could lead to destruction. The Word says in Ezekiel 28:5 of the prince of Tyrus, “By thy great wisdom and by thy traffic has thou increased thy riches and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches.” So, hearts can be lifted up to riches where there is more faith in riches above trust in God. Moreover, hearts can be lifted up to other things that bring no profit and are not the ways of the Lord.

Another danger of the heart of a leader is revealed in 2 Chronicles 26:16. King Uzziah did which was right in the sight of the Lord and he sought God. And as long as he sought the Lord-God made him to prosper, and the Word says, “He was marvelously helped until he was strong.” However, when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction for he transgressed against the Lord. Sometimes a leader can have a heart that trusts in their own strength, and when this happens, it can lead to destruction in their life and even the land.

Thus, let our prayer for leaders be: “Father, let the leaders over our nation have a heart lifted up in the ways of the LORD and let that type of heart remain with them all their days.” We all desire to live a life in peace and prosperity, and it is possible. But, will we learn from the Word of God His blueprint to get us there? And I believeGod has brought us this story to remind us He has done it before. Let us learn from the life of Jehoshaphat, while also learning prayer points to pray for our leaders! For leading is not easy, and all who are in leadership have been chosen or allowed by God to be there. Thus-let us pray for them for they are doing work that is far beyond what we know or can imagine! Pray for the leaders to have a heart that is right and acceptable before God so we can all return to a life of peace and no war, in Jesus name.

Father, we lift up our leaders before You. Father, save their souls and give them new hearts and spirits. Father, remove the stony hearts and give them hearts that are lifted up to the ways of the Lord. Father, let them be leaders who seek You over riches. Let them be leaders who humble themselves to seek Your face and enquire with You as David did. Help our leaders, generals, and captains to put You first before fighting a battle and let them ask You to go with them to be their sword and shield. Oh Lord God, look down on us and forgive our transgressions and our trespasses. Have mercy on us, and return us to a place where we will have peace, and no war. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

4 But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

5 Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

10 And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

21 For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

22 Speak, Thus saith the Lord, Even the carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.

23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

24 But let him that glories glory in this, that he understand and know Me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

Glory to God. Beloveds, may God give us the spirit of prayer and supplication. You know, life has a way of making sudden turns. One day all is well, and the next day we have great anxiety and uncertainty about what the future will be. We have a plan, but then God also has a plan on the earth, and right now His plan is disrupting our plans for this year. And we are grateful His plan has been His lovingkindness all the year long , but what do we do when His plan turns and we are faced with sudden destructions?

תהילה לאל. אהובים, מי ייתן ואלוהים ייתן לנו את רוח התפילה והתחנונים. אתם יודעים, לחיים יש נטייה לעשות תפניות פתאומיות. יום אחד הכל בסדר, ולמחרת יש לנו חרדה וחוסר ודאות גדולים לגבי מה יהיה העתיד. יש לנו תוכנית, אבל אז לאלוהים יש גם תוכנית על פני האדמה, וכרגע תוכניתו משבשת את התוכניות שלנו לשנה זו. ואנחנו אסירי תודה שתוכניתו הייתה חסדו כל השנה, אבל מה אנחנו עושים כשתוכניתו משתנה ואנו ניצבים בפני הרס פתאומי?

I believe this is where the world is today. We can’t deny His lovingkindness, but we are perplexed by the sudden destructions. And today, God speaks directly to women to rise up spiritually in prayer and supplications. He says to women, “Hear the Word of the Lord, O ye women, and let your ear receive the Word of His mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and everyone her neighbor lamentation.” In times of destruction God is telling the women to lift up prayers and to be those who receive what He is saying. He says to teach your daughters to wail, or cry out to Him for the land, and even invite your neighbors to pray as well. For I believe God is saying through this passage: Don’t play with this time for what I require is a commitment to prayer and calling out to Me!

Moreover, the Lord begins to tell us why much prayer is required. He says, “For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.” God is letting us know more death is about to hit the earth and it will cut some people off, and you know what beloveds-He is never wrong.

Furthermore, the Lord instructs at a time like this let us get our minds right. It is not the time to glory in anything or anyone but Him. We aren’t to glory in our wisdom, might, or our riches. For God has the power to let the greatest of wisdom fail, and our might won’t be enough to win a battle He has allowed. If we have riches-there are a million ways He can make riches blow away, and none of those ways will we see coming. So, our glory should only be in Him for He is the One who can sustain all three. Therefore, Hear the Word of the Lord today-and let us have hearts to cry out to Lord.

Women it is praying time! Gather your daughters and together cry out to the Lord for righteousness and mercy to come forth over the cities and nation. Gather your neighbors and tell them to call upon the name of the Lord. This is what God is looking for in this hour. It is not our boasting of who is winning or who is losing, but He is looking for those who will cry out to Him to come to their rescue. And He will give them the wisdom and might of how to fight the enemies that have entered the land.

O LORD our God, You are god who tries the hearts and reins of all. We come to You today, crying out to You for in thee do we put our trust. Save us from all them that persecute us, and deliver us. Don’t let our enemies tear our soul like a lion and rend it in pieces as if we have none to deliver. Forgive us for all our sins, transgressions, trespasses, and iniquities. Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of our enemies. Awake for us the judgment You have commanded. Father, You are the judge of all. Judge on our behalf, have mercy and let us not fall into the hands of men. Father, spare our children, soldiers, and our people from destruction. Lord, save Israel, and let the righteousness You desire to come forth. Save the nations in Your righteousness and lovingkindness. Father, please let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just. For You are the righteous God who will save the upright in heart, so make our hearts upright with You. Lord, be our defense; be our buckler and shield. Spare Your people, oh God, for Your Name’s sake for why should the heathen say-where is their God? In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: will not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

Glory to God. As believers, we have to remember to pray for the lost because the devil has blinded their eyes and minds. Our text says, “They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity?” God is letting someone know they are not playing with you-but their games are against their Maker and He is saying through this scripture- I see you and I hold your life and eternity in My Hands. Stop it.” Well, if enemies can’t escape in the natural, how can someone hide from God? Beloveds, it is impossible. And God is just letting them play out their hand for He sees their day is coming. And when that day comes, how will you escape His Hand?

Now to our text. Today, the Holy Spirit sends a message to all nations and Israel. His message is: “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised." The New Living Translation says, “A time is coming, says the Lord, when I will punish all those who are circumcised in body but not in spirit.” Then the Lord lists the nations He is speaking of, but also includes those who are in the utmost corners, and those who dwell in the wilderness.

Remember God sees things from a spiritual aspect and with Him nations who don’t serve Him or walk in His ways-technically, those nations are wilderness nations. It doesn’t matter how wealthy they are today- they are still a wilderness nation and not a fruitful field. This is because those nations aren’t promoting His righteousness throughout the earth, but supporting unrighteous lifestyles and wickedness. All of which, He knows in the end will bring no profit. And He says of them-all these nations are uncircumcised and a punishment is coming from the Hand of the Lord.

Furthermore, He distinguishes the House of Israel separately saying, “All the House of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.” Thus, God is seeing a world who has turned from serving their Maker, and He is also seeing His people with hearts that are not after Him as He desires and deserves.

For to think we have a clean heart, when God says it is uncircumcised is wrong thinking. And if we desire to be moved from HIS punishment list-we must fix our hearts to be circumcised to Him and not to the world, and sinful ways. We must have a heart like Jesus. A heart that loves; a heart that is merciful, does good, and has integrity and His truth. In Jesus name, may we escape the punishment that will go through the earth due to the state of our hearts refusing to fear the Lord our Maker.

Incline our hearts to Your Word, and not to covetousness and let our hearts be sound in Thy statutes. And let the House of Israel settle to perform Thy commandments and statutes, even to the end. Circumcise the hearts of the people and all the nations to Your righteousness so we can lift up praises to You, oh God, for You are good and Your mercy endures forever. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

1 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.

2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.

4 Howbeit the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

5 And of all my sons, (for the Lord hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

Glory to God. The Holy Spirit returns through scripture to the time King David desired to build a a temple for God. The discussion begins in 1 Chronicles 28 where David gathers all the leaders of his army and the princes of Israel. He tells them it was in his heart to build a house for the Lord, however God informed him (through the prophet Nathan) that he would not because he was a man of war and has shed blood. And this was God’s criteria for building His temple, not man’s. Therefore, because of His reference to this text, I believe He is thinking about the building of a temple again. However, let us be reminded the hands that are to bring it forth must be clean hands. His temple cannot be constructed by: 1) a man of war2) nor one who has shed blood.

תהילה לאל. רוח הקודש חוזרת דרך כתבי הקודש לזמן בו דוד המלך רצה לבנות בית מקדש לאלוהים. הדיון מתחיל בדברי הימים א' כ"ח, שם דוד אוסף את כל ראשי צבאו ואת שרי ישראל. הוא אומר להם שבליבו היה לבנות בית לה', אולם אלוהים הודיע לו (דרך נתן הנביא) שהוא לא יעשה זאת משום שהיה איש מלחמה ושפך דם. וזה היה הקריטריון של אלוהים לבניית בית מקדשו, לא של בני אדם. לכן, בגלל התייחסותו לפסוק זה, אני מאמין שהוא חושב שוב על בניית בית מקדש. עם זאת, הבה נזכיר שהידיים שיוציאו אותו חייבות להיות ידיים נקיות. בית מקדשו לא יכול להיבנות על ידי: 1) איש מלחמה וגם לא 2) אדם ששפך דם.

Now, you would think because of David’s love for God He would have been automatically qualified to build His temple, but God didn’t see it that way. For He didn’t want His temple associated with the many wars David fought, nor the people who had died by his hands. Why? God is the prince of peace! So, instead of David, God chose his son, Solomon, who had clean hands in His sight of the Lord. However, even though David wasn’t permitted to physically build the temple, he still assisted by contributing large funds of provision, knowledge, guidance, and resources.

You know, God is very particular in His patterns, and once He sets a pattern-He usually continues in that pattern for the ages. But often, we can attempt to change what He has set in place because of the desire in our hearts just as David had a desire. Nevertheless, God will send His message to let us know how He feels about the matter and if we are about to detour from His path.

Now eventually the Kingship transferred from King David to King Solomon. And we can learn from this text that every change of power is not to be criticized. That is because in this situation between David and Solomon-David had to move out so the purpose of God, and the clean hands He desired to build His temple-could be moved in. It was the will of the Lord for power to transition to King Solomon because the will of Lord had to be fulfilled on His timetable. Thus, we learn God has a say and a purpose for the transition of powers and when it happens. And if He initiates a change, let us also consider the will of the Lord in the matter. David had fought many battles that saved the children of Israel from destruction and kept them safe, and God allowed those battles for he battles for the people of God. Nevertheless, for the next purpose of God’s agenda, He was not the assigned person for the task. David had a time and season of purpose; but Solomon also had a specific time and season for his reign and purpose as well. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will let us know when He is shifting times and seasons for His purpose and not rebel at the transitions He has ordain. Be blessed!

Father we ask, for whatever transfers of power You need to do on the earth, let them be done in peace and in truth. Father, go before us and change to hearts of men to align with what Your will accomplish. Be with us, and whoever eyes this devotion is for-let them know this is Your will and Your way. 1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

2 Thus speaketh the Lord of Hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built.

3 Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.

9 Ye looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the Lord.

Jeremiah 7:2 says, “Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the Word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.” As the Lord proclaimed this Word in the years of Jeremiah, He has not changed. For God is the One who implemented a place consecrated for His people to come and worship Him, while also being taught of His Word and ways.

ירמיהו ז', ב' אומר: "עמדו בשער בית ה' וקראו שם את הדבר הזה ואמרו שמעו דבר ה' כל יהודה הבאים בשערים האלה להשתחות לה'". כפי שה' הכריז דבר זה בשנות ירמיהו, הוא לא נשתנה. כי אלוהים הוא זה שהקדיש מקום לעמו לבוא ולהשתחות לו, תוך כדי שהוא לומד את דברו ודרכיו.

But what if we think something is right, but God doesn’t see it that way? In the book of Haggai, God sent the prophet to the people to say build when they weren’t ready to build. They felt the time was not right to build, yet the Word of the Lord said differently. And I noticed in this text He asks “Is it time for you to dwell in your houses while this house lies in waste?” This denotes, there was a time God allowed the people to dwell in their houses without a penalty, but now that time had changed.

אבל מה אם אנחנו חושבים שמשהו נכון, אבל אלוהים לא רואה את זה ככה? בספר חגי, אלוהים שלח את הנביא לעם לומר להם לבנות כשהם לא היו מוכנים לבנות. הם הרגישו שהזמן לא מתאים לבנות, אבל דבר ה' אמר אחרת. ושמתי לב שבפסוק הזה הוא שואל "האם הגיע הזמן שתשבנו בבתים שלכם בזמן שהבית הזה חרב?" זה מציין, היה זמן שאלוהים הרשה לעם לשבת בבתים שלהם ללא עונש, אבל עכשיו הזמן הזה השתנה.

Could it be God is signaling through this Word that His time clock has changed? Well, that’s exactly what He did in the book of Haggai. The people were comfortable in one time, but God had shifted to a new time and season, it was time to build His house! 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “We walk by faith and not by sight.” We may want all the conditions to be favorable before we start-and God is saying, “The conditions for you will become favorable when you start building.”

Thus, we learn from this passage that every financial drought is not always due to an unstable economy. A financial drought can be sent when we refuse to do something God desires us to do or God desires to shift us from one time to another time. It is written in Isaiah 51:3, “The Lord shall comfort Zion: He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.” Beloveds, God has the power to comfort the waste places and He has promised to comfort all the waste places of Zion. Therefore, when you build the wasted House of the Lord, know you will be comforted because He has promised comfort for all her waste places.

Prayer:

Father, let us hear Your voice and obey Your Word for Your Name must be a praise and a glory throughout all the earth. We pray oh Heavenly Father, reveal how and where. Make our paths straight and our way prosperous. Open doors that only you can open and remove every barrier that comes to block our path. Father, release Your mercy, grace, and revive Your work in midst of the years. Do Thy good pleasure unto Zion, build the walls of Jerusalem, and remember Your Word to comfort all their waste places. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbear, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

2 Chronicles 27:3-4;14-16

3 Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

4 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

14 And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones.

15 And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong.

16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

ג בן שש עשרה שנה עוזיהו במלכו וחמשים ושתיים שנה מלך בירושלים ושם אמו יכוליהו מירושלים. ד ויעש את הישר בעיני יהוה ככל אשר עשה אמציהו אביו. יד ויכן עוזיהו להם בכל הצבא מגנים וחניתות וקסדות וסמרות וקשתות וקשתות להטיל אבנים. טו ויעש בירושלים כלי נשק מעשה ידי אנשים חכמים להיות על המגדלים ועל החוצות לירות חצים ואבנים גדולות ויצא שמו לרחבה כי נעזר בו פלאים עד אשר חזק. טז וכאשר חזק ויגבה לבו עד אבדתו כי פשע ביהוה אלהיו ויבוא היכל יהוה להקטיר קטורת על מזבח הקטורת.

The Holy Spirits answers today from a story of two kings. One was King Amaziah who was king of Judah and the other was his son, King Uzziah who reigned after his father’s death. One day during the reign of King Amaziah, there was a battle and he slaughtered the Edomites. It was a great victory for Amaziah, however he did something strange. He decided to take the gods of the people and set them up to be his gods. But not only that-he bowed down and prayed to these idol gods while also burning incense to them as if they were the gods who gave him the great deliverance. Well, this behavior angered the Lord greatly and a prophet was sent to King Amaziah with a message. The prophet told him, “Why have you sought after the god of the people which could not deliver their own people out of your hand?”

Sadly, the King didn’t like the words of the prophet so he threatened his life. Thus, the prophet said to King Amaziah, “ I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have not hearkened unto my counsel.” Yet, King Amaziah ignored the message sent by prophet from the Lord and he took advice from others to confront Joash, King of Israel in a face to face meeting.

Well, when King Joash received the notice, he returned a message to Amaziah saying:

Thou says, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifted thee up to boast: abide now at home; why should thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou should fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

וַיְשַׁלַּח הַקּוֹץ אֲשֶׁר בְּלָבוֹן אֶל-הָאֶרֶז אֲשֶׁר בְּלָבוֹן לֵאמֹר תֵּן אֶת-בַּתְּךָ לְבָנִי אִשָּׁה וַתַּעֲבֹר חַיָּה אֲשֶׁר בְּלָבוֹן וַתַּרְכֶּה אֶת-הַקּוֹץ. אָמַרְתָּ הִנֵּה הִכִּיתָ אֶת-אֱדוֹמִים וַיְגַבָּךְ לִבְךָ לְהַתְהַבֵּל שָׁב עַתָּה בַּבַּיִת לָמָּה תַּעֲבֹר לָרָעֶךָ וְתִפַּלֵּל אַתָּה וְיְהוּדָה עִמָּךָ

Notice the phrase, “thine heart is lifted up to boast.” But again, King Amaziah would not hear the words of King Joash, just as he would not hear the words of the prophet. He marched ahead with his own plans and the Word says, “Judah was put to worse before Israel and they fled every man to his tent.”

However, King Amaziah did not return to his palace because he was captured by King Joash. Later King Amaziah died, and his son Uzziah became king. Uzziah was only sixteen years old when he became king and he reigned for fifty-two years over Jerusalem. King Uzziah was a mighty and industrious king. He warred against the Phillistines and Arabians and was victorious because God helped him. He built all kinds of towers in Jerusalem, established a mighty army, and had engines invented to be on the towers and the bulwarks. He was so successful his name spread abroad for God marvelously helped him. But then the Word says, “When he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God…”

אולם, המלך אמציהו לא שב לארמונו משום שנתפס על ידי המלך יואש. מאוחר יותר מת המלך אמציהו, ובנו עוזיהו עלה למלוכו. עוזיהו היה רק בן שש עשרה כשעלה למלוכו, והוא מלך חמישים ושתיים שנה על ירושלים. המלך עוזיהו היה מלך גיבור וחרוץ. הוא נלחם בפלשתים ובערבים וניצח בזכות עזרתו של אלוהים. הוא בנה כל מיני מגדלים בירושלים, הקים צבא אדיר, והמציא מנועים להיות על המגדלים ועל החומות. הוא הצליח עד כדי כך ששמו יצא לציבור, כי עזר לו אלוהים בצורה נפלאה. אך אז נאמר בדבר: "כי חזק היה, גבה לבו את כוחו, כי פשע בה' אלוהיו

Know our God is willing to help leaders become strong and victorious, however-He abhors pride and the heart that is lifted up. Both King Amaziah and Uzziah didn’t end well-not because of God, but because of their transgressions against God which were rooted in pride. Amaziah first errored by bowing down to other gods although he was commanded to serve the Lord God. His power made him think he was greater than his Maker and even untouchable. Likewise, Uzziah started out well and the Word even said, He did right and sought the Lord. But as God blessed him-he also thought he didn’t have to follow the order of the Lord, and he too was destroyed.

דעו שאלוהינו מוכן לעזור למנהיגים להיות חזקים ומנצחים, אולם - הוא מתעב גאווה ולב מתנשא. גם המלך אמציהו וגם עוזיהו לא סיימו טוב - לא בגלל אלוהים, אלא בגלל עבירותיהם נגד אלוהים, אשר נובעות מגאווה. אמציהו טעה תחילה בכך שהשתחווה לאלים אחרים, למרות שנצטווה לשרת את ה' אלוהים. כוחו גרם לו לחשוב שהוא גדול מבוראו ואף בלתי ניתן לגעת. באופן דומה, עוזיהו התחיל טוב, והדבר אף אמר, הוא עשה נכון ודרש את ה'. אך כאשר אלוהים ברך אותו - הוא גם חשב שאינו

Beloved, this is the second message God has sent about “hearts being lifted up” when it comes to leadership. As we learned a few weeks ago from the example of Jehoshaphat, the only thing our heart should be lifted up to are the ways of the Lord. And because this was how Jehoshaphat lived his life, his life was spared from destruction. However, the two kings we reviewed today both had hearts lifted up in pride and boasting, and the Word prevailed. For it is written in Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Please know the Word of God prevails over all. It prevails over riches, might, and all great works. Hear the Word of the Lord and humble before God.

Prayer:

Father, you are the Almighty God and there is none like You. To You belongs all the power, glory, and honor for without You we can’t even wake ourselves up. You are God alone and any accomplishments, victories, or abilities we achieve or have they are because You have decided to favor us. We thank you Father for the purposes You have trusted us with on the earth. Lord, if our hearts have been lifted up-forgive us. Save our souls so we can be right with You. We humble ourselves before You and we give You the glory You deserve. We ask You God-give us another chance and spare us from the destruction we deserve because of pride. Forgive us Lord, and give us another chance to humble our hearts and realize if You didn’t extend us to have power, we wouldn’t be where we are. So, let us all look deep into our lives and souls and be grateful for the assignments You have trusted us with. Let us all give thanks to the Almighty God for how great are His signs and mighty are His wonders! His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and His Dominion is from generation to generation. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

1 And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

3 And Joab said unto the king, Now the Lord thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

8 So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

9 And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

10 And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the Lord, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O Lord, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the Lord came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,

12 Go and say unto David, Thus saith the Lord, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

15 So the Lord sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men.

16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

17 And David spake unto the Lord when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.

21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant Lord commanded..

23And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the Lord, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

25 And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

5 וישלח יהוה מגפה בישראל מן הבוקר ועד המועד וימתו בעם מדן ועד באר שבע שבעים אלף איש. 16 ויישר המלאך את ידו על ירושלים להשמידה ונחם יהוה על הרעה ויאמר אל המלאך המשמיד את העם די עצור עתה ידך ומלאך יהוה היה על גורן ארונה היבוסי. 17 וידבר דוד אל יהוה בראותו את המלאך המכה את העם ויאמר הנה חטאתי ועשיתי רעה והצאן האלה מה עשו תהי ידך נא בי ובבית אבי. 21 ויאמר ארונה למה בא אדני המלך אל עבדו אשר צוה יהוה. 23 ויאמר דוד לקנות ממך את הגורן לבנות מזבח ליהוה ויעצור המגפה מעל העם 24 ויאמר המלך אל ארונה לא כי קנה אקנה ממך במחיר ולא אעלה עלות ליהוה אלהי אשר לא עלה לי חנם ויקנה דוד את הגורן ואת הבקר בחמישים שקל כסף ויבן דוד שם מזבח ליהוה ויעל עלות ושלמים ויתחנן יהוה על הארץ ותעצר המגפה מישראל

1 Chronicles 27:23-24

23 But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.

דברי הימים א' כ"ז:23-24 23 ולא ספר דוד את מניין בני עשרים שנה ומטה כי אמר יהוה כי ירבה את ישראל ככוכבי השמים. 24 החל יואב בן צרויה לספר ולא כלה כי ירד על כך זעם בישראל ולא נרשם המניין בספר דברי הימים למלך דוד.

I believe because of this turbulent season, God is reminding His people of His ways and how He wants things to be done. You know, the world will say this is how we should do it, but the world is not Israel- nor does God say He is the God of the entire world, but He is the God of Israel. And out of all the nations of the world-Israel has covenant with God to do things His way and for that, He has not changed.

אני מאמין שבגלל התקופה הסוערת הזו, אלוהים מזכיר לעמו את דרכיו וכיצד הוא רוצה שדברים ייעשו. אתם יודעים, העולם יאמר שכך עלינו לעשות זאת, אבל העולם אינו ישראל - וגם אלוהים לא אומר שהוא אלוהי העולם כולו, אלא הוא אלוהי ישראל. ומכל אומות העולם - לישראל יש ברית עם אלוהים לעשות דברים בדרכו, ולשם כך, הוא לא השתנה.

Thus, He brings to mind a trespass King David did long ago that cost Israel many inhabitants of the land. And I noticed just today that the Word says, ‘And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.”God’s anger was kindled against the country, not necessarily David, but He used David so he could judge Israel. Meditate on this. This tells us that God has the right to move a leader in certain directions because of the sins of the people. It may seem the leader is acting on his own accord, but God has already told us in Proverbs 21:1, “The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turns it whithersoever He will.” Therefore know, leaders aren’t acting on their own for God does have a purpose and say so regarding the decisions that are being made.

לפיכך, הוא מעלה בזיכרון חטא שעשה המלך דוד לפני זמן רב, אשר עלה לישראל רבים מתושבי הארץ. ושמתי לב רק היום שהדבר אומר, 'ויחר אף ה' עוד בישראל, ויעורר את דוד עליהם לאמר לך, ספר את ישראל ואת יהודה'. אף ה' חרה נגד המדינה, לאו דווקא נגד דוד, אלא הוא השתמש בדוד כדי שיוכל לשפוט את ישראל. הרהרו על כך. זה אומר לנו שלאלוהים יש את הזכות להניע מנהיג לכיוונים מסוימים בגלל חטאי העם. אולי נראה שהמנהיג פועל מרצונו החופשי, אך אלוהים כבר אמר לנו במשלי כא, א': "לב מלך ביד ה' כנהרות מים, יהווה אותו אל אשר יחפוץ". לכן דעו, מנהיגים אינם פועלים מכוח עצמם, כי לאלוהים יש מטרה והוא אומר זאת בנוגע להחלטות המתקבלות.

However, He is a just God and He does allow us to make decisions. He will tell the leaders the right way to go, and they will have an opportunity to make the decision to obey or disobey God. In our text, David had to make a decision to number or not to number the people. And when he pressed to number the people for battle-Joab knew this wasn’t God’s will. He pleaded with David saying, “Now the Lord thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?” But David’s word prevailed over Joab.

Malachi 3:6 says, “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Israel should always remember that God changes not and He is able in battle rather by many or by few when we truly rely on His Spirit and operate according to His will. Please take this story to heart for God doesn’t bring it up in vain. It is something in it for what you are dealing with in this season. Remember this gross trespass by David, and pray to not make this mistake again for we don’t know if God will repeat Himself or be merciful. May the mercies and peace of the Lord be your portion and go with you and may the name of the Lord remain great in Israel. In Jesus name, Amen.

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things. Father, redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. Let the salvation of Israel come out of Zion and let Your excellency and strength continue over Israel. Protect Your holy land and let the wickedness of the wicked come to end, but save Your people. Teach us to take heed to your statutes and obey Your commandments, for You are our God. Lord, remember Your mercy and truth and let there be peace again in the land. And we thank you and we praise Your Name for all Your goodness and mercy. We will bless the Name of the Lord from everlasting to everlasting from now until forevermore. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Psalm 123

1 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so, our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Glory to God. Our God is ever mindful of us, and He is also mindful of His Words.

Luke 1:68 says, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for He has visited and redeemed His people.” When someone is redeemed they are removed or set free from what should have happened and brought under safety by a higher power. For example, if someone was to be sold and another person redeems them-they will buy the person and remove them from the life that could have been and take them under their care. Thus, when Israel is in trouble, God knows He has proclaimed He is their Redeemer and He is carefully watching the actions occurring in the land.

Let Israel wait on the Lord for your end is not yet. Wait on the Lord for He is the one who will save His people out of all their adversities and tribulations. Our passage says, “The proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

שראל - חכו אל ה' כי עוד לא אחריתכם. חכו אל ה' כי הוא יושיע את עמו מכל צרותיהם וצרותיהם. הפסוק שלנו אומר: "מים גאוים עברו על נפשנו. ברוך ה', אשר לא נתן אותנו טרף לשיניהם. נפשנו ניצלה כציפור ממלכודת ציידים. המלכודת נשברה וניצלה. עזרתנו בשם ה' עֹשֶׂה שמים וארץ".

There are many who have become strong and their hearts are lifted up. They have become like proud waters against you to overflow your soul. However, the Word says-God hath not given you as a prey to their teeth and your soul will escape as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers. What has risen up as a snare to you, in the end will be broken by our God and you will escape. You may escape with bruises and some experiences you wish you didn’t have to endure, but in the end, “the snare against you will be broken, and you will escape.”

רבים התחזקו וליבם התרומם. הם הפכו כמים גאים נגדך להציף את נשמתך. אולם, דבר האל אומר - לא נתן אותך כטרף לשיניהם ונשמתך תמלט כציפור ממלכודת ציידי עופות. מה שעלה לך כמלכודת, בסופו של דבר ישבר על ידי אלוהינו ואתה תימלט. ייתכן שתימלט עם חבלות וחוויות שהיית רוצה שלא תצטרך לסבול, אך בסופו של דבר, "המלכודת עליך תישבר, ואתה תימלט".

Cry out to God for His mercy and grace for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. At times, we all will experience His indignation for the Word even records in Isaiah 34:2 that the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and His fury upon all their armies. Hence, at some point in life-time and the chance of battles and wars will come to us all. But God comforts His people to wait on Him for He has covenant with us. He it is written in 1 Kings 6:13, “I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”

Moreover, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. We are persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” Why? Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Your Redeemer will rise for you as He will for all who fear His name.

צעקו לאלוהים על רחמיו וחסדו, כי כולם חטאו וחסרו מתפארת האל. לעיתים כולנו נחווה את זעמו על דבר האל, אפילו בישעיהו ל"ד, ב' נכתב כי זעם ה' על כל הגויים, וחרון אפו על כל צבאותיהם. לפיכך, בשלב מסוים בחיים, הסיכוי לקרבות ומלחמות יגיע לכולנו. אך אלוהים מנחם את עמו לחכות לו, כי כרת איתנו ברית. כתוב במלכים א' ו', יג: "אשכן בקרב בני ישראל, ולא אעזוב את עמי ישראל". יתר על כן, בקורינתים ב' ד', ח'-ט' נאמר: "צרים אנחנו מכל עבר, ולא צר; נבוכים אנחנו, ולא נואשים; נרדפים אנחנו, ולא נטושים; מופלים, ולא אובדים". מדוע? עזרתנו בשם ה' עשה שמים וארץ. גואלך יקום לך כאשר יקום לכל יראי שמו.

Prayer:

Father, look unto us and remember You have redeemed us from the hand of the enemy and saved us from the hand of all who hate us. Father, we ask You today to loose upon us great mercy and Your merciful kindness. Forgive our sins, trespasses, and all our iniquities and help us to look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Father, this tribulation-we have no power to deliver ourselves, but our eyes look to You. Oh Lord God, remember You are our Helper; our Keeper; and our Strong Tower. You are our refuge in the time of trouble. Break the snares of every fowler and let them broken as You have spoken. Father, our faith and trust is in You; do as You have done before and show all our enemies-You are the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Ezekiel 34:24-31

24 And I the Lord will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.

25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26 And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.

28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

30 Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the House of Israel, are My people, saith the Lord God.

31 And ye My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

Obadiah 1:8-17;21

8 Shall I not in that day, saith the Lord, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

17 But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

21 And saviours shall come up on Mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.

ח הלוא ביום ההוא, נאם ה', אאבד את החכמים מאדום ואת התבונה מהר עשו? ט וגיבורייך, תימן, יבהלו, עד כי ייכרת כל הר עשו בטבח. 10 על חמסך את אחיך יעקב יכסה אותך בושה, ואתה תכרת לנצח. 11 ביום עמדתך מנגד, ביום שבו שבו זרים את חיילו, ובאו נכרים בשעריו, והטילו גורל על ירושלים, גם אתה היית כאחד מהם. 12 ולא היית רואה ביום אחיך ביום היותו נכר, ולא היית שמחה על בני יהודה ביום אובדנם, ולא היית מדבר גאווה ביום הצרה. 13 לא היית בא בשער עמי ביום אסון; 14 ולא היית רואה את צרתם ביום אסון, ולא היית שולח יד לרכושם ביום אסון. 14 ולא היית עומד על הצלב, לכרות את ניצליו, ולא היית מסירת את נותריו ביום צר. 15 כי קרוב יום ה' על כל הגויים, כאשר עשית, כך יעשה לך, שכרם ישוב על ראשך. 16 כי כאשר שתית על הר קדשי, כן ישתו כל הגויים תמיד, וישתו, ובלעו, והיו כאילו לא היו. 17 ועל הר ציון תהיה ישועה, ושם תהיה קדושה, ובית יעקב יירשו את נחלותיהם. 21 ויעלו מושיעים על הר ציון לשפוט את הר עשו, והממלכה תהיה ליהוה.

Glory to God. There are many gates, but every gate is not to be entered for we may just enter a gate that the angels of the Lord are protecting or a gate that God has interest in. One can wrongfully enter a “house gate” where God is and think they can come in and out as they please. One can enter the “gates of a city” where the presence of God is and think the Lord will not have a reward for the violation. But God does pay attention and certain gates and crossways we enter, He will get involved.

תהילה לאל. ישנם שערים רבים, אך אין להיכנס בכל שער, כי ייתכן שנכנס רק לשער שמלאכי ה' מגנים עליו או לשער שאלוהים מתעניין בו. אפשר להיכנס בטעות ל"שער בית" שבו נמצא אלוהים ולחשוב שהוא יכול להיכנס ולצאת כרצונו. אפשר להיכנס ל"שערי עיר" שבה נמצאת נוכחות האל ולחשוב שה' לא יקבל גמול על ההפרה. אבל אלוהים כן שם לב, ובשערים ובמעברים מסוימים שאנו נכנסים בהם הוא יתערב.

However, we learn through this passage-every gate is not ours to enter although God doesn’t stop us from every entrance. And all of a sudden we realize the eyes of the Lord has looked upon our actions as He speaks today from the Heavens saying: Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of His that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.”

עם זאת, אנו לומדים דרך קטע זה - כל שער אינו שלנו לכניסה, למרות שאלוהים אינו מונע מאיתנו מכל כניסה. ולפתע אנו מבינים שעיני ה' הביטו במעשינו כשהוא מדבר היום מן השמים ואומר: לא היית צריך לבוא בשער עמי ביום אסון; גם לא היית צריך לראות את צרתם ביום אסון, ולא היית צריך לשלוח יד על רכושם ביום אסון; ולא היית צריך לעמוד בצומת, לכרות את ניצליו; ולא היית צריך למסור את נותריו ביום הצרה.

From this passage we see a strong decree and rebuke from God for treatment that has been done. And this treatment is not toward strangers, but whom God sees as “their brother.” He then goes on to let us know He has seen the violence and how they have looked on and rejoiced in the day of their destruction. He makes it a point to let all know- He has heard when they have spoken proudly in the day of their distress.

מקטע זה אנו רואים גזירה ותוכחה חזקה מאלוהים על יחס שנעשה. ויחס זה אינו כלפי זרים, אלא כלפי אותם אלוהים רואה כ"אחיהם". לאחר מכן הוא ממשיך ומודיע לנו שהוא ראה את האלימות וכיצד הם ראו ושמחו ביום חורבנם. הוא מקפיד ליידע את כולם - הוא שמע כאשר דיברו בגאווה ביום צרתם.

Beloveds, God is a gate watcher and He is watching who is entering and who is standing in the crossways. Now the gate and crossway He is speaking of is not in Heaven-for if it was in the heavens, He would have said so. Thus, we know this gate God is watching is on Earth. And I don’t know what specific gate or crossway He is referring to, but whatever it is-the mouth of the Lord speaks, “Thou should not have entered into the gate of My people in the day of their calamity.”

אהובים, אלוהים הוא שומר שער והוא צופה במי שנכנס ובמי שעומד בצומת. השער והצומת שהוא מדבר עליהם אינם בשמים - כי אם הם היו בשמים, הוא היה אומר זאת. לפיכך, אנו יודעים ששער זה שאלוהים צופה בו נמצא על פני האדמה. ואני לא יודע לאיזה שער או צומת ספציפי הוא מתייחס, אבל מה שזה לא יהיה - פי ה' אומר: "לא היית נכנס בשער עמי ביום אסון".

Isn’t it good to know the Heavenly Father sees and cares about our calamity and distress? We may think because He is silent and doesn’t always promptly act that He is not present in our ever-changing moments. But He is a very present help in the time of trouble and He does care about the affliction, calamity, and distress going on amongst us. For we learn from this passage-He sees the violence; He sees the treatment one toward another; and He sees all our reactions.

האם לא טוב לדעת שהאב שבשמיים רואה ודואג לאסונותינו ולמצוקותינו? אנו עשויים לחשוב, מכיוון שהוא שותק ולא תמיד פועל במהירות, שהוא אינו נוכח ברגעים המשתנים ללא הרף שלנו. אך הוא עוזר נוכח מאוד בעת צרה והוא אכן דואג למצוקה, לאסון ולמצוקה המתרחשת בינינו. כי אנו לומדים מהקטע הזה - הוא רואה את האלימות; הוא רואה את היחס אחד כלפי השני; והוא רואה את כל התגובות שלנו.

So, let us hear the Word of the Lord He sends today for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. He decrees in our ears and it shall come to pass for thus says the Lord of Hosts: Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. And saviours shall come up on Mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the Kingdom shall be the Lord's.

נשמע לכן את דבר ה' אשר שלח היום כי פי ה' דבר. הוא גזר באזנינו והיה כי כה אמר ה' צבאות: הר ציון יהיה ישועה, והיה שם קדוש, ובית יעקב יירשו את נחלתם. ומושיעים יעלו על הר ציון לשפוט את הר עשו, והמלכות תהיה לה'.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for all You are to us. And even though You are on the throne in Heaven, You are present in the real-time calamity and every distress we endure. Father, be our Rock and High tower; be our Shield and Buckler. Father, judge righteously for You know our hearts.

Be our God and let the whole earth know-You are the Lord. Lord, be mindful of us and we pray, spare the innocent. Release mercy and truth on this Earth, and teach us all how to love one another. In Jesus name we prayAmen.
